I am very excited to share this very special collaboration with you; The Royal Tapestry Factory (RFT) is a Spanish institution with more than 300 years of history.
Its cartoons have been intervened by great artists such as Goya, Procaccini, Sert, Pérez Villalta, Manolo Vales and Vaquero Turcios, among others. It is an honour to be part of this list of artists who have left their mark on the factory.

The centrepiece of the collaboration is a rug whose design reflects the colourful and joyful essence of my work, inspired by my iconic polyhedral Meninas.

Each one is made to order to the size of your choice, following RFT’s handmade Turkish knot technique. One square metre of carpet is made up of 18,460 hand-woven knots and one week of work, all the pieces will be different, making them unique pieces.

RFT is not only a place of tradition, but also an advocate of sustainability in textile restoration, using high quality materials and advanced technologies.
In addition to the rug, I have designed a collection of products inspired by this design, silk scarves, ceramic mugs, fans and a large umbrella, all inspired by the silhouette of the polyhedral Menina and made in Spain.
