Participating in the Starlite Gala 2025 has been one of those experiences that confirm the true power of art. This year, two of my Meninas were part of the charity auction, reaching a total of €15,000, which was entirely allocated to the solidarity projects promoted by the Starlite Foundation.
The Menina is an icon that I have reinterpreted through a contemporary, geometric, and colorful language. For me, each piece is not just a sculpture, but a symbol of optimism and connection. Seeing how these two works found a new home while also helping to transform lives is a source of pride, and one of the reasons why I chose to dedicate my life to art.
I am convinced that art should not remain only on the surface of aesthetics. When it becomes a vehicle for solidarity, it acquires a much deeper meaning.
I would like to thank the Starlite organization for creating a space where art and philanthropy come together, and the collectors who invested in my Meninas, for their trust and commitment to an art that also has the capacity to change lives.
