My Menina sculture has been chosen by the Madrid City Council as a gift during the meeting that both held, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the twinning of both cities.
During his visit, Almeida delivered my sculpture to the mayor of New York, Enric Adams, as a personalized gift with the two flags, one of Spain and one of the United States, within the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Brotherhood Agreement signed by Mayor Koch at that time.
