Once again, I have had the privilege of taking part in the Starlite Gala, a very special event in Marbella that brings culture, art and solidarity together with a shared purpose: supporting projects that can make a positive impact.
For the 2024 edition, I wanted to contribute one of my works to the gala’s traditional charity auction: a unique and numbered (1/5) chrome-gold Menina.
The piece reached €15,000 at auction, something that makes me particularly happy not only because of the recognition of my work, but above all because it allows art to become a way of contributing to a meaningful cause.
I have always been interested in art’s ability to connect with people beyond its purely aesthetic dimension. Taking part in initiatives like this shows how a sculpture can acquire a different meaning when it becomes part of a charitable project.
It has been an honour to share such a special evening and to make my own contribution through one of my Meninas.
