At Casa Decor 2024, I had the opportunity to present one of the most personal and exciting projects I am currently working on: Villa Felipao, a house I am developing together with architect Jérôme Michelangeli of Michelangeli Design, to be located in Guadamur, Toledo.
From the very beginning, we wanted to go beyond the traditional idea of a house. Villa Felipao was conceived as a fusion of architecture and art, almost as an inhabitable sculpture, where every space becomes part of a single creative vision.
The project allows me to take my way of understanding art to an entirely different scale. Forms, volumes, the relationship with the surroundings and the way each space is experienced all become part of the work itself.
Sustainability and a connection with the landscape are also central to the project. Our intention is to create a contemporary home that engages with its surroundings and shows how creativity, design and responsibility can coexist within the same vision.
Presenting the project at Casa Decor has been a fantastic opportunity to share this vision for the first time and explain the process Jérôme and I are developing together. Now it is time to see that idea gradually take shape and become a place where art and everyday life coexist naturally.
