Last June, I had the honour of taking part in the Turium Forum 2025, an event that brings together leading figures from the worlds of tourism, gastronomy, and culture to reflect on the value of excellence as a driving force for transformation in Spain.
One of the most exciting moments of this year’s edition was the presentation of the Turium Connecting Excellence Award in the Culture category to the incomparable Sara Baras, a true global icon of flamenco. Her ability to move audiences, innovate, and bring Spanish art to international stages makes her an essential figure in our cultural identity.
As part of the recognition, I presented Sara with an exclusive Menina, created especially for her. A 32 cm-high resin sculpture, dressed in red with white polka dots, as a direct nod to the world of flamenco that she represents with such passion and elegance.
This piece symbolises the fusion of tradition and contemporary art, two concepts that both Sara and I share throughout our artistic journeys. It was a privilege for my work to be part of such a well-deserved and meaningful tribute.
