Lump is inspired by the dachshund who held a unique place in Picasso’s life. When I read his story, I realized that it was not simply about a dog, but about a presence capable of becoming an essential part of a person’s life and creative process.
With this sculpture, I wanted to bring that bond into my own Pop language and pay tribute to those irreplaceable companions who, through their presence alone, cease to be mere company and become lasting traces in our lives.
