With Las Meninas in bas-relief, I wanted to explore a new way of representing this icon and bringing it into the space of the wall. The piece retains the geometry, color, and faceted visual language of Mi Menina, while being presented from a single frontal perspective.
It is not simply a matter of reducing the volume, but of transforming the sculpture into a wall-based presence. Its planes continue to interact with light, creating depth, movement, and shifting nuances depending on the space and the time of day.
