Fidelius was born from the seahorse, a small creature that carries a powerful lesson about care, loyalty, and presence. For me, it represents the archetype of the faithful caregiver: someone who understands that love is not always about imposing oneself or conquering, but about supporting, accompanying, and remaining present even when the sea changes. This work invites us to look to nature as a teacher and to ask ourselves which bonds, principles, and affections we are willing to protect in our own sea of life.

Fidelius was born from a small creature, almost fragile in appearance, yet charged with immense symbolic strength: the seahorse.
In the depths of the sea, this silent being carries one of nature’s most beautiful lessons. The male receives, protects, and carries his young until they are ready to enter the world. In him, caring is not an isolated gesture, but a way of being.
But the lesson does not end there.
Seahorses are also known for forming deeply faithful bonds with their partners. Each day, they seek one another out, recognize each other, and dance together, as if they needed to reaffirm the bond that unites them. Theirs is not a rigid or imposed fidelity, but a constant choice: to be present, to accompany, to support.
When I conceived Fidelius, I was interested precisely in this idea of silent commitment. A strength that does not impose itself, yet remains. A form of love that does not need grand gestures to reveal its depth.
For me, Fidelius represents the archetype of the faithful caregiver. The one who understands that to love also means to protect, to listen, to care, and to remain present even when the sea changes. Because caring does not always mean saving someone; sometimes it simply means staying close, accompanying the process, and helping life continue to grow.
We live in a time when strength is often confused with conquest, presence with prominence, and success with moving forward alone. Fidelius offers another perspective. It reminds us that true greatness does not always lie in imposing ourselves, but in supporting others. It is not always about shining brighter, but about helping someone else shine too.
